This listing is for 250 yards of a 2-ply sewing thread of lace-weight 40/2 yarn using fibers from the snake plant tree and cotton yarn wound onto a cardboard cone.
The fibers are sourced from (Dracaena trifasciata) snake plant and less than 5% upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) for stability. The regenerated fiber process takes the filaments and spins into yarn. During this process waste fibers sometimes find their way into the spinning; you may notice bits of sparkly or even colored fibers in the yarn. So far research has not developed a 100% bast fiber similar to this type of yarn, the 5% cotton is needed for spinning and strength of the fibers. The yarns dyes just like other bast fibers and colors well using both natural and synthetic dyes.
