Conserving Threads is a boutique firm providing comprehensive consultation, conservation and installation services of costume and textile related objects for museums, historical societies and private collectors.
We specialize in the preservation of Americana textiles and related materials, exhibit installation, collection organization and deaccessioning, and disaster recovery services.
Since 2003, we have proudly provided textile preservation and conservation services to communities throughout Texas and the surrounding areas. Our work is rooted in careful handcraft, respect for historic fibers and fabrics, and a commitment to helping clients protect the beauty, structure, and longevity of quilts, garments, tapestries, Cloth, flags, and other treasured textile pieces.
