Seaweed or macro algae raw fiber. **(Enteromorpha flexuosa)**
Grown in India.
The sea weed is sourced from enteromorpha flexuosa fibers. This seaweed, also known as macro algae, is harvested from the rivers and ponds and then sun dried. The regenerated fiber process takes the extruded filaments and wet spins into yarn. During this process waste fibers sometimes find their way into the spinning; you may notice bits of sparkly or even colored fibers in the yarn. So far research has not developed a 100% bast fiber, the 5% cotton is needed for spinning and strength of the fibers. The yarns dyes just like other bast fibers and colors well using both natural and synthetic dyes.
