Easy Spin Cotton Sliver, Conventional USA Upland Variety

This listing is for Conventional USA Upland Cotton Sliver with about a 1.2 inch staple length

I've had this cotton specially ginned and process for hand spinners. The USA mill takes clean cotton grown on farms on the east coast and cards the sliver so that is has a bit of grip to it, making the fibers not too slippery and easier for long draw spinning. The sliver is also great for dyeing the fibers before spinning.

This naturally grown sliver is great for carding, spinning, knitting, felting --- the list goes on and on the many things you can make with the cotton roving. Have fun using this cellulose fiber to create unique art batts by mixing the cotton with other fibers like hemp or go wild and mix it with protein fibers such as wool and silk. Cotton can add color and strength to your spinning projects. Or on its own it is thought to have great "breath-ability" properties with its water absorption.
