Cushing Perfection Dyes Ordinary Type Wool & Cotton. Vintage Packet. Dyeing Tips Printed Instructions Included.

This listing is for 1 (one) unopened vintage packet of Cushing Perfection Dyes Ordinary or Union Type for Wool, Cotton, Silk, Linen, Viscose Rayon, and other Fibers. Also included is a printed handout "Tips for Successfully Dyeing Cotton and Other Cellulose Fiber and Yarns". This printing offers some suggestions on using these vintage union packets to dye cotton sliver. I can get about 8 ounces of cotton sliver dyed using one packet of Ordinary or Union Type Cushing Dye Packet.

This listing is for the dye packet and printed tip sheet only, any other images, objects, materials shown in this listing are for examples only. These packets come to me as 'vintage'. I am unaware of how they were stored or treated before arrival to my studio. I make not guarantee that these dyes are still stable or will dye the color indicated on the packet. It is not recommended to use these vintage dyes if you need to replicated exact colors over multiple dye baths. There is not guarantee that they dyes will dye the same color each time but I have been using them for years and the dyes in the packets have always produced a color and dyed the cellulose fiber or yarn that I introduce in the dye pot.

The color card and the yarn examples are both vintage Cushing Dye memorabilia. The yarn examples are from an old book I found by Carol Kampert and Susan Henrikson, no date.
