Cotton Poonies - Hand-Rolled Fiber

Unspun FiberThis listing is for hand-rolled cotton poonies from the western peninsular region of India. Each poonie is individually hand-rolled from carded cotton. Note: there may be some vegetable matter still in the cotton carded poonies. This can easily be removed during spinning.

Poonies: 0.5 oz is about 12 hand-rolled poonies
Mini Poonies: 3 grams is about 30 hand-rolled poonies

This naturally grown sliver is great for carding, spinning, knitting, felting --- the list goes on and on the many things you can make with the cotton roving. Have fun using this cellulose fiber to create unique art batts by mixing the cotton with other fibers like hemp or go wild and mix it with protein fibers such as wool and silk. Cotton can add color and strength to your spinning projects. Or on its own it is thought to have great "breath-ability" properties with its water absorption.
