The original catalogue was printed monthly in New York by the Butterick Publishing Co and was a subscription service highlighting fashion patterns for mail-order purchase. Originally, the monthly catalog cost was $0.07. Drawings of the latest styles with written descriptions were included in each new month. The original catalogue is in fair condition. There are signs of foxing, staining and some rips in the paper. The rips are mainly on the front and back page. The spine staples have been removed but I believe all pages are included.
