This USA naturally grown brown cotton that has been ginned and carded. This is the end of the carded fibers when the cotton is being spun into yarn. The fibers are mostly aligned and there should be no vegetable matter. This product comes to me in large bags and may be mostly brown / light brown in color or mixed with white or even some green cotton fiber which will show up after washing. You may find some lightly spun fiber/yarn lengths as well. The fiber batts are a great usable cotton for hand spinning. This cotton is ginned and cleaned at an organic practicing mill here in the USA. The cotton is also grown here in the USA. It is possible the cotton is also grown using organic practices, but I don't know this information for sure.
